Having just brought our new puppy home, I am refreshing my mind on puppy potty training.
Ellen’s article is just the ticket for me.
It is clear and easy to understand as well as entertaining.
The key here is, “No guilt”.
Potty training a new pup, or any dog of any age, is challenging. We can get frustrated when
they have an accident, and many people get too rough with a young dog
when they mess in the house. Puppies need gentle handling and getting it wrong with potty training
can set the pup up for emotional issues that can be hard to overcome. So, it is best to avoid them with
gentleness, and a crate. I can’t begin to tell you how important the crate is for potty training a puppy.
If you don’t have a crate, get one. And read Ellen’s article. You’ll be glad you did.
